Hi my Loves, the next few Monday’s I am going to be having a Monday Motivational piece. Literally a bit of motivation to start your week. This is the first in the series, enjoy!
Top 5 Ways To Kick Start Your Day
1.Reading a devotional
2.Listening to a motivational speech eg; TED talk,
3.Listening to an audiobook
4.Doing a workout
5.Having a great breakfast
Mornings are often described as a pain but with my top five ways to start your day they need not be. Personally mornings are always a little slower than usual for me. One of the things I love to do is sit up in bed and read a daily devotional, currently I’m reading “Everyday A Friday” by Joel Osteen this devotional always links to a bible scripture so it’s a great way to get in my bible reading and start the day in a positive way.
Next up is listening to a motivational podcast or speech, something along the lines of a TED talk, or a motivational speaker such as Eric Thomas or Marie Forleo. Starting off the day with something like this means I can’t help but get into a good mood, focus, realign my priorities and goals and have an attitude of being productive.
Audiobooks are another way in which I am able to read a book in a quicker amount of time than if I was actually reading it. I usually tend to lean towards non/fiction titles to listen to. I am currently subscribe to the app Scribd, it gives me access to a wide range of books and audiobooks, and there is a free 14 day trial to try it out before committing to buying anything.
Working out in the morning is great way to be healthy and sets me up for having a super healthy day. I find that when I work out in the morning I gain so much clarity in my mind for the day ahead and I make much healthier food choices throughout the day when I think about the energy needed to burn off a piece of chocolate. Hilarious rationale but hey it works for me. Morning workouts for me are usually skipping for 15-20 minutes at home. The days that I make it to the gym I do a 20-30 minute HIT session on the treadmill or cross trainer.
My final way to start the day right is by having a great breakfast. Not just a piece of fruit or even worse a cup of tea. I mean waking up on time to make myself something like a slice of toast with some avocado, smoked salmon and frying an egg white finishing off with a cup of green tea. To me that’s a satisfying breakfast to start my day with and leaves me full until lunchtime.
Another great breakfast choice is a green smoothie. I usually prep this from the night before. My current go to recipe is green tea, banana, pineapple, mango and apple and it leaves me so full right until lunchtime, not to mention its a healthy and clean choice for breakfast.
