So I managed to have a cheeky stop off at the Kiko store on Regent Street earlier this week. I knew there was a sale so I went in with the intention of picking up a bargain or two. Among many of the goodies that I picked out I decided to pick out two mascaras for the grand price of £3.90 each. Now I generally stick to high street brands for mascara, my rationale being I wont use it for longer than three months so I dont really want to spend £30 on something so small especially since I may be known to wear strip lashes everyday (don’t judge me!) .
The first Mascara I went for was the Kiko Longeyes Plus Active Mascara. The wand reminded me of the legendary Loreal telescopic mascara so I was on board. Kiko Longeyes Plus Active Mascara promises ‘extreme length with a complex active of ingredients that promotes eyelashes’ natural growth’ . It seemed like a no brainer length and growing my natural lashes. I will do an update on how I get along with this.
The second option I went with was the Kiko Unforgettable Waterproof Mascara. The brush on this curls and I always find that to be a good thing for adding volume and lifting lashes. Kiko Unforgettable Waterproof Mascara boasts of ‘ long lasting curling mascara with its special anatomical brush that follows the shape of the individual lashes’. Sometimes a good waterproof mascara is needed, however i have a love hate relationship with these as taking them off is always hell.
What do you look for in a mascara? What’s your favourite mascara? Do you go high end or high street?
